When the game checks
Year end, or the day it happensMost endings are checked once a year, at the close of the books, from year 3 onward: reforestation first, then the certificate. Two resolve on whatever day they happen, the bank calling your loans and an arrest. A won estate can keep playing in the sandbox, where there are no more endings and burning is no longer offered. A lost one offers a rewind to the start of any earlier year: same seed, same weather ahead, different decisions.
The Palm Certificate
You won: certifiedThe win the game is built around. Five conditions, checked at the close of every year: operating profit and three profitable years, twenty bearing blocks, no burn-to-clear for five years, forest on the slopes, and the Workshop at level 4. Meet all five and the Ministry sends a banner. The epilogue puts the President at the Workshop door, with a line about your palms doing the country a favour, and tallies the years, the forest cover, the disasters weathered and the operating profit.
There are two versions, and the ceremony is the same for both. Clean is the full five, and the epilogue says the papers mean it this time. Persuaded is what happens when profit, hectares and the Workshop are met but no-burn or forest is short, and the district is crooked enough to look away: same banner, same ceremony, and a line saying someone at the Ministry was persuaded. An estate that burned its way there gets a second card the game is not subtle about.
Reboisasi
You won: reboisasiThe ending nobody planned for. Put more land back to forest than you hold in palms, by a margin of a couple of hectares and with at least six hectares reforested in all, and the run ends in reforestation at the close of that year. A reforesting block counts once half its trees have grown past sapling. The certificate panel stops being the point the moment this is in reach, and the game tells you so a year ahead.
The epilogue is quiet: more of the land went back to forest than ever went to palms, and a short passage about choosing the world over your own desire. The forest you planted is counted in hectares, and the sandbox opens if you want to keep tending it.
Bankrupt
Run over: lossThe estate has a credit line: a sum per hectare of palms inside the Workshop's range, and nothing at all without a Workshop or with the licence suspended. Fall below minus that line and stay there for ninety days straight, and the bank stops waiting. The epilogue's numbers panel turns into "what went wrong": the debt, the days below the credit line, the notices from the authorities, the burns lit, the coordination fees paid. The rewind is offered; the sandbox is not.
Shut down: the operating ban
Run over: lossThe operating ban itself does not end a run. It is a roll on the day of a burn, in a district honest enough to enforce: ninety days with no clearing, no palm planting and no harvest, upkeep at half, and a bank that will not lend against a shut estate. What ends the run is the ninety days in the red that so often follow, because an estate that cannot pick cannot earn. If a ban stood at any point in that stretch, the epilogue reads Shut down: the operating ban outlasted the cash.
Under arrest
Run over: lossTwo roads lead here, and both are fire. Attention reaching 100, which takes repeated burning through a letter and an investigation that were both ignored, or a second wildfire while the police are already on the estate. It is decided the instant it happens, not at year end, and the epilogue says the fires were set on purpose and the letters were ignored. The rewind reaches only as far back as the last year that closed before the arrest, so an estate arrested in its first year has nowhere to go back to.
Twenty-five years: the fade
Run over: the horizonSurvive every season for twenty-five years without certifying and the run simply fades. One palm generation has passed; the first palms are too tall to harvest, and nobody came to read the estate either way. It is neither a win nor a loss, and it opens the sandbox: keep playing on the same estate with no more endings ahead, which is where many people build the estate they wish they had built the first time.
The seventh
Not namedThe game names six endings, and the hero of the landing page counts seven. The seventh has no entry on this page, no condition listed in the certificate panel, and no headline that announces it is near. It is found, not named, by whoever plays their way into it. If you have a guess about what kind of estate reaches it, the guide has everything you need to test it.
